👋 It’s been a while since I put together an update for the community, a million and one excuses but I am going with just a lack of time.
So here goes, what has been going on in the community—>
😃 The good:
Well that’s easy, it continues to grow and has helped many create connections and generate. not only knowledge. but some great business contacts.
We just partnered up with a group in the US that are totally community focused, it will help us bridge the gap and bring new voices and viewpoints to our group, much more about this in the weeks to come.
In an effort to streamline things and help members we changes channel 15 to 🎉 SALES and PROMO, so anyone looking for customers in the Fusion42 group can freely promote their services here.
⭐️ Big thank you to the members who are always active and paying it forward, there is a special place waiting for you.
😔 The Bad:
This is more a personal thing, I love seeing people asking questions, especially as the life of a founder is so convoluted, full of mixed signals. It is a greed thing from my side because it helps me learn and by sharing helps us all learn. There is a little ask in this which is to share more, ask more …. it also serves as great practise and testing when it comes to keeping customers and stakeholders updated on your journey.
Check out the channels as pretty much everything is covered, questions and updates can range from specific things to more open ended brain dumps, or just a celebration of having achieved something and ticked it off.
➡️ What operational challenges do I need to think about for my B2B platform when going from 100 to 1000 users?
➡️ Can I use the word “shit” in my stakeholder update? 😄
➡️ We did X and Y happened… so happy
😖 The Ugly:
Hearing about people second hand that are direct messaging members to ask for things, I get it, but don’t understand it, why it is so difficult to first communicate in the community for everyone’s benefits 🤷🏼♂️, that is what community is right?
💬 Chat activity:
With an average of over 100 conversations per day the group is busy but certainly not overwhelming. We are now a community of close to 800 people from all corners of the planet. Due to the limitations with Whatsapp I do spend time checking who has joined and never engaged to remove them and make space for for others.
We have an airtable of registered members and for those who have registered please reach out if you would like access to it.

📞🖥️ Open call:
Our open call series that we hold every second Thursday is finding its way.
The first call was about the Startup ecosystem in KSA and the second was focused on the application of AI in business and wider AI use cases.
As we move forward we will be niching down on how the Startup investor landscape is changing dramatically with more turning to a data driven approach. We will be looking into how fundraising and due diligence is evolving with new AI tools and really dig into what the best tools out there are and more importantly what needs to be built to help us all on our fundraising journey.
